Our Experience w/the Charity Auction On 6/22 (Not So Good)

Ok so myself, Danika (NoDoubtDaniNxD), Mike (cornfieldsofpopcorn1), and perla (sexkittengwen) all won the 6/22 Irvine charity auction. we spent a lot of money but we were really excited. well, unlike the cholas or the mountain view auction winners who got a lot of alone time with gwen (plus multiple autographs and the option to take a PERSONAL, not group photo with her, as was promised on the ebay auction), we got none of that. we got about a minute of talking to gwen and then were just stuck in the regular meet 'n greet with 30 other people who won from the radio or who knew people (basically who got it for FREE). we didnt get individual pictures, were only allowed one autograph, and didnt even get to say anytihng to gwen because it went by so quick (plus the autographs on 3 of the 4 the signed CD's they gave us were smudged). plus i already had 3rd row center seats from the tour club so being first row wasnt that big of a difference to me (even though the show was amazing). anyway, i wrote about what happened in more detail on my livejournal if you guys wanna read (there are lots of pics too from the meet 'n greet and from the first row of the concert which y'all will probably like): http://iluvshania831.livejournal.com/138485.html

I don't know how much you guys spent, but I can only imagine and that just sucks that you were jipped. That still sounds like an amazing time though! Meeting Gwen and even seeing Kingston in person, not to mention meeting the Harajuku Girls and some of the band is an experience of a lifetime! And then seeing Gwen AND ND from the first row is just insane. I'm really jealous lol. However I don't think you guys are being ungrateful for being bummed. As awesome as the night may have been, the point is you guys really didnt get what you paid for. I can only imagine how hectic it must have been backstage before the show and obviously things are going to be rushed b/c they're on a super tight schedule but you still paid a pretty penny for a certain experience and it sucks that it didnt go down the way it was supposed to. The least they could have done was allowed Gwen at least 5 minutes alone with you guys (one minute is pretty pathetic) and instead of the group pic, have you all take one individual each. I mean come on, would 3 more pictures have killed them? That could have happened easily in under a minute At least the money went to a good cause and regardless of what should have happened, it still sounds amazing. You guys will probably look back on this in a few weeks months or even years and hopefully will think it was worth the $$.

I am not surprised you felt dissapointed at not getting to meet Gwen properly. Remember though, where your money went . .to charity. I still would have thought you would gotten a more exclusive meet and greet though to be honest.

I'm also really sorry you didn't get your money's worth. *I posted a reply in you're lj* her security sounds like they're really anal about everything, but since she's gotten huge it doesn't surprise me. Maybe when she starts touring w/ ND things will be a little better.
 Cute X3!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience, but still it must have been great to be in the front row, and also met Gwen if not only briefly...

It was an aweful meet and greet.....but I was front row at a no doubt concert. I would have payed all that money just to see those 3 songs.
 Thanks, Apple Core

ya it was one of the most fun concerts of my life but the thing was that i already had two seats EXACTLY two rows behind the front row seats (so that means they were center)...im sorry but those two rows dont equal the amount of money we paid, even if it is for charity...im not rich or anything and im glad to donate to a good cause but i wouldnt have given THAT much.

Here is my take...not that you need it or want it. I have a feeling things back stage where crazy for her team of people pulling of the ND encore. HOWEVER... this auction was the last of many, and after the shows were started. SO from the way I look at it, and I hope whoever calls makes clear... You bid on this AFTER hearing of what others got for the money. It's not like this was the first show, or the first winner getting a meet and greet. I think that it's awesome that you even had a moment with Gwen and Kingston esp. Gwen in "Mom mode"...BUT I am also not looking at a credit card bill in the thousands.
