There is an avatar section half-way down. Where it says "Enable avatar" select no instead of yes then save your settings at the bottom. Here is a trick for instant avatars: http://forums.nodoubt.com/forums/1494194/ShowPost.aspx If you update it the normal way it will take about 10 minutes usually. If your avatar doesn't update after an hour you will have to PM a mod and get them to change it manually - some people who transferred from the last forum have a problem with avatars not updating.
