Actually, pretty good, really. Essentially.
So, I saw Tegan & Sara on the Monday at Shepherd's Bush Empire. Amazing, as always. They played 'I've Got You'. I went with a friend and my mother. My mother likes Tegan & Sara!
I turned twenty on Thursday, which made me feel really old, even though I know twenty isn't old. I was just under the impression that I'd be a teenager forever. Lalalala it's fine.
I went back upto Leeds on Friday to sort out everything for moving house (urggggggg) (and to maybe celebrate my birthday again) and was presented with a free ticket to both My Bloody Valentine and Radiohead.
Both of the gigs were in Manchester, which is SUCH a cool city. We had a drink on Canal street and there was this choir, whose opening number was 'Don't Speak' !!!1 Anyway: My Bloody Valentine. Amazing. Probably one of the loudest gigs I've ever been to. My friend said that Kevin Shields wants the music to be as loud as is legally possible so as to put the audience in a trance. I think that probably happened. The last song lasted forty minutes, and was just ... noise.. really loud noise.. but it was amazing! I've never seen anything like it.
Radiohead on Sunday. Bat for Lashes supported, and I caught the last couple of songs, which were pretty good. Radiohead were insanely good, but the gig (obviously) wasn't as intimate as MBV the night before and .. argdshs MBV were SO good. BUT! Radiohead did three encores! Here's the setlist.
Setlist:
01 15 Step
02 Airbag
03 There There
04 All I Need

06 Arpeggi

optimistic".]

26 Lucky Really quite amazing. I'd never seen them before, and I actually only started listening to them properly last September.
Also, Ani DiFranco tickets went on sale on Friday.. I'd encourage anyone who can get to London in October to buy tickets... (slash she's also touring the states now..) I can't waaaaitttttttt.
