haha yeah Word and everything is fine, those programs don't exactly take up much memory. if you're going to be using photoshop etc i definately recommend getting a Mac, cos PCs just can't handle the workload. i used to work on a PC at home when i was doing my course and it was a nightmare, it was so slow and programs would shut down all the time etc. i've been using Macs for about 5 years now, so if you've got any more questions just let me know =)

they're all good, i've got the second one, the $2000 one. i think i paid extra to get extra memory or something, it was a couple of years ago now. the Mac Pros are the best, but an iMac will be fine for what you're using it for. go and talk to someone in an Apple shop though, don't just listen to what people on the internet tell you =)

definitely get a mac... i really don't know why people bother with windows, they're such pieces of poo. you'll never go back. don't really worry about the ram, as long as the processors alright, then you can upgrade the ram later for not much money
and yes! ive got a ticket to falls and pyramid, i just have to sell one... pyramid last year was fair crap though i thought

Watch out getting a Mac. Only do it if it's for work and not for ANYTHING else. Actually they pretty much fail for anything other than artsy things like graphics design and word processing.
Any sort of games/customisation/upgrades are a pain in the ***.
It's funny because I really want one anyway.

yeah if it's for IT stuff like programming and stuff PCs are the norm, otherwise Mac all the way. sometimes it can be a bit of pain because most things are formatted for PC, but it's pretty good these days since alot more people are going to Mac. sometimes transferring stuff between Mac and PC can be a pain, like if you did your design stuff at home and then took it to school and worked on a PC with a different version of photoshop. also in case you didn't realise, you'll have to purchase a Mac version of the Adobe suite. if you've just got a free/pirate copy of Photoshop on your PC you won't be able to transfer that over, you'll need to get the one for Mac. same goes for all your other programs.

Nah im pretty sure they're not on sale yet, but a friend of mine does 'Resistance' stuff... so they have a stall thingy there. So they get tickets to stuff like Falls and BDO for free, which is great when I get to go too for doing nothing other than being a good friend lmao. And I don't actually have a pyramid ticket, but ive got my name down for one which is good as having one (well not really), but couldnt be bothered typing that... but now I have lol the good thing is you can always sell it, cos someones going to buy it, so I can decide later which rocks

yeah i really wanna go to Falls but don't have anyone to go with. i was thinking i'd buy a ticket and make up my mind later, but if i don't end up going i'd definately wanna go to the Franz and Tegan & Sara sideshows, which will probably sell out, so if i missed out on those i'd be pretty mad =/
