BUT the fact is, they could have told me ONCE THEY FUCKING FOUND OUT. I'm pretty pissed, because I just dropped one of my classes, so now I'm not full time, so if anything happens to me, I'm totally boned. back to the braces, yeah, I think I'm going to invest in one. It really effects my self esteem (as cheesy as that sounds) and the government just gave me some money for being poor, so, yeah. /ramble http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eusohqmrjYg    Report

Posts 5,407 Re: I can't afford insurance I'd really try and do all you can to improve your posture without using a back brace. Relying on it too much might actually weaken your back muscles and keep your posture poor when you haven't got it on. You can improve your posture by correcting it each time you catch yourself slouching, but it might take awhile to get used to it. It's all about lifting the shoulders and keeping your head in line with them. The stomach should be relaxed. Back strengthening exercises will also help quite a bit. That said, if you get one, get a good one, and use it in moderation. You can do it Ms. Tangerine!    Report

See, for YEARS I've been trying to self-correct (I've noticed when I'm drinking, I have better posture. weird) but it's not enough. I'm going to do some more homework on it and see what I should do. It'll get you all limber too, reducing the chance for random muscle injuries and thus the need for possible doctor visits. Slouching is such as easy habit to get into and so bad for you. Good for you for wanting to correct it. Ooo, don't forget visualization. Sounds really hokey but it works. Picture good posture each day in the morning and it'll help.    Report
