I did coursework on that in year 10! I wasn't too keen on the book, either, but I still got an A on my essay. Good luck!
Haha thanks, I'm in year 10 too :D

I thought that was really good, until it got to about page 900. By then, my concentration had gone, and I just wasn't interested. The ending was rpetty bad (or maybe that's just cos I couldn't concentrate, and skim-read the last 20 pages or so Stick out tongue [:P])

If you lost concentration at page 900, you'll take one look at The Stand and think "nah", haha. I want to read more Stephen King, but I hope they're not as long as The Stand because it took me months to get through! Part of the reason was I didn't read very much of it every day.

Everything's going to change.

I saw 2 copies of The Stand in a charity shop for £1.50, and was so tempted but thought 'no, I might not like it'. I went back 2 weeks alter to actually buy it, and both copies had gone :(

Oh, bad luck! The first version is a bit shorter than the one I read. Don't worry about not liking it, I'm sure you will!
