Not meaning to complain about everything in Lost, butttttttttttttt the time travel is actually incredibly flawed. If the island is physically moving in time, how come it changes it's state? i.e. Things that were built are not built when it reaches the time before it was built I realise how complicated that sounds when I put it like that XD But like... how come they can go back to pre-815 and the hatch isn't blown up? Surely if it's just the island physically moving, it would stay the same? And if the island isn't staying the same, how come the people aren't reverting back to how they were at the time the island arrives at? For example, the island goes back to the night 815 crashed. If the island physically changes to show the crash site, and all the wreckage, and a non-imploded hatch, why haven't the people also gone back to how they were when 815 crashed? ALSO , where did the Others disappear to when the island moved in time? Cos, as we saw, the island actually did disappear. But when it reappeared, there were no Others. I can see where you're coming from, but to my understanding it's not the Island moving through time but just the people. Daniel said that either the Island is moving through time, or they are. I know we saw the Island vanish, but I think it just moved location and it wasn't zapped back in time or anything. So that's why things are built or destroyed depending on where they are in time. Only the survivors are moving through time though, for some reason the Others don't move (and for some reason Juliet does even though she used to be one) so that's why it seems like the Others disappear. When actually, as Richard Alpert told Locke, he disappeared not them :) Everything's going to change.    Report

Why the Others haven't travelled in time is actually a pretty good question that had never ocurred me. I did understand that it was the people, not the island, moving in time, hence some buildings not existing when they went far in the past. However, would it be possible that the Others are somehow connected to the island in a way that they are actually a part of it and do not time-travel like the Losties?    Report

But in what way is Juliet no longer the same as them? Is it because she joined the Losties? That's one question. Another question is, if only the Others don't move, what about the people they kidnapped? Cindy, the kids etc. They were once Losties and haven't been Others as long as Juliet. We haven't seen them for a while. Also, as to where the Island actually went...I don't know! We never actually knew where the Island was so it's unlikely we'll ever get a proper explanation of where it has ended up. Everything's going to change.    Report

THe island never actually moved in time, the wheel did actually just move its location, and it just made the people go back in time. Namely Oldham, the church built over the Lamp Post and the Ludovico Technique. That's the brainwashing treatment given to Karl in Room 23 back in Season 3, a little reference to A Clockwork Orange. Also Frame 4 was out today at icangetyoupeanutbutter.com. This poster is really cool, the first one I actually wanted to buy. It's sold out now though. I was almost able to buy it, but you need to use a credit card and no one in my family has one! So it sold out before I got one. It's $50 + $32 postage so in total it would be £50 for me. A bit steep for a poster but I was actually willing to pay it because I like it so much :( Everything's going to change.    Report

Anyone know the significance? It's the day Oceanic Flight 815 crashed onto the Island! On that day, 324 passengers boarded an airplane in Sydney, Australia bound for Los Angeles, California. They had no idea that a simple accident by Desmond would rip their plane out of the sky above a mysterious Island. Or was it an act of fate? 71 survivied the crash and that is what became Lost :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ierynZLSLHk Today is also 5 years since the show first started on ABC in the US. I can't believe it's been so long! And to celebrate, the creators of the show have now opened the doors to Lost University, and interactive learning experience on Blu-ray. You can sign up now and take an enrollment test, and classes begin December 8th when Season 5 comes out on Blu-ray in America (although in the UK we get it 26th October, no idea if we can start out classes then!).
