heads up on fake L.A.M.B. bags on Ebay

Maybe you guys have already posted this, but just in case I wanted to bring it to your attention. Maybe I'm totally behind cause I haven't been on the forum much lately but there is at least one seller for sure selling fake LAMB lesportsac on Ebay. If you want their ebay ID PM me.

I've been noticing a lot of LAMB bag listings for new bags with tags...too many, you know? like how the hell are there so many new bags with tags all of a sudden? and they are mostly the 2nd season, girlfriend bags, and a few of the other smaller styles. check it out if you are searching on Ebay and you'll see what I mean. they use stock photos - not from lesportsac but thier own.
so I started to do a little searching online and figured out that fake LAMB bags are definitely being produced, which was a HUGE surprise to me because I keep an eye out for that stuff, since I am a store owner and sell H.L.

I found a website that sells all kinds of replica designer items and a lot of the same pictures are on that site.

During my search, A china trade website brought up an ad for "replica lamb" min 200 pcs. a quick cross check of the names involved confirmed that the seller on Ebay is the same person selling the replica.

I have to say I am surprised. I knew there was a lot of fake LAMB clothing out there, but didn't know about the bags until now.

JUst a little more info - the one person I know for sure is dealing in fakes has a lot of the auctions with the pics that have several bags on a white background all photoshopped on one pic.. if you've been searching lamb on ebay lately you've probably seen them.
they also have one of the smaller messengers in white, and that one is on a plain black background. There might be more than one seller doing it, too. I haven't gone back to look yet.
they are usually girlfriend bags, backstage, barrels, i think concert bags, and mostly 2nd season although I think the fake site also had a pic of the 1st season girlfriend bag, too.

it might just be a good idea to stay away from sellers that have a lot of "new with tags" LAMB up for sale on a regular basis. esp if they are in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and posibly Korea. These bags are no longer being produced, so it would be a little odd for them to suddenly be showing up brand new with tags in such abundance.
Obviously anyone anywhere could be selling them, but it's a bit more likely that sellers in these regions would have fakes because that is where they are produced. no Dis to Asia intended.

no problem. I bid on one by mistake.

It's so irritating because people who sell fakes make it really hard, not just for the buyer, but for people who sell real stuff. I am a H.L. retailer and people are always wondering "is this real or fake?" I've never run into fake H.L but who knows... there's tons of fake everything now - even abercrombie and fitch. whatever.

I can't remember the sellers name that I was trying to ask about a black on white concert bag NWT but anyways I have a feeling that it is the person you are talking about.

They only showed a stock photo of the bag and when I contacted them about sending me a picture of the actual bag the winner would recieve I was given the complete run around....it basically came down to the fact that I told them that I was already speculative as to the authenticity and since they were being so un-cooperative I figured I must be correct in thinking it was a fake bag.

yeah it's smart to pass on a deal like that. sounds sheisty. might be the same person. were they in HK? there was one person in Korea, too, that I wanted to buy from but now I'm wondering about their bag too.

The one I was talking about started at a low price...and it sold for 34.11$ US which is such a steal......which really makes you wonder how real it is.

I looked back in my ebay watched items and found out the name, they are from the UK if anyone wants the name I will also PM you with it...just in case the bag isn't fake I dont want to give them a bad rep.

i know what you mean, whenever i see lamb for cheap i know people aren't bidding on it for a reason

I don't know if that's always the case? The price thing. I do think it can be an indicator, but not a rule that if there are fewer people bidding or if it's going for less money that it's fake. Being a seller on Ebay, I know that sometimes people don't bid on my stuff, even if it's a hot item, and then the next time I list it, it will sell right away. It's just kind of random sometimes.
I got a super good deal on a real LAMB bag once, and I just picked up a cold hard cash leopard wallet for about $100.

It's impossible to say for sure if each individual bag is real from every seller, because someone could have bought one fake and be trying to resell it, but there are general red flags to look out for - like sellers who sell a lot of LAMB bags all "new with tags" and especially from Asia ( no disrespect, Asia, it's just that this region has a lot of the fake factories) If you think about it, why would there be so mant "nwt" bags all of a sudden? they aren't being produced anymore, so to have a large flood of them all being NWT raises a red flag.
In general, from what I've noticed SO far, the fakes seem to be concentrated within a few designs and styles.
for example, I've been noticing a lot of 2nd season prints (the colored icon, the b/w icon, the large print diagonal "lamb, wdmlg" across the bag in black on white and white on black , small messengers, barrel bags, backstage bags, girlfriend bags, or a lot of 1st season tattoo black girlfriend bags) all "NWT". This is a serious red flag.
There are patterns like that which can help identify who is selling replica. Also, if the seller cannot give you any other pics other than the generic ones they have up, or if they don't answer your questions, that is a red flag too.

thanks for those. i feel bad for the people who are bidding. i would never buy anything designer from somewhere like asia, no offence but that pretty much guarantees fake.
