Back from the NY Show! (W/PICS)

The show was absolutely amazing. I see her definitely going back towards her No Doubt roots. This was more like a No Doubt show than Harajuku Lovers was. The opening number was so cute with the dancers running through the audience and Gwen entering from behind bars. I loved the stripped down section with 4ITM, Luxurious, and EW. The geisha video backdrop for "Early Winter" is gorgeous! "Yummy" was so far out there I loved it! People around me were like "WTF?" after that performance but I thought it was fantastic! Loved the remix to "Now That You Got It". The only song I was slightly let down by was "Hollaback Girl." That song was HUGE and she could have done more with it on this tour in my opinion. I guess the Harajuku Lovers performance of it spoiled me.
She told the crowd that NY holds a special place in her heart cause it was where Kingston was conceived. She said he had an ear infection this past week so she has been a nervous wreck but the crowds at the shows have been so great that it keeps her going. She mentioned a few times that next on her schedule after the tour is to make the No Doubt album. When she went into the crowd during "Cool" she scraped her elbow and was bleeding. When she came back during the encore she had a band aid on it...she's crazy I love it! She is making more of an effort to connect with the audience this time around...slapping hands and stuff.
Omg my seats were unbelievable...3rd row to the left! I got such great pictures of her close up, I will try to post them. The merchandise was mismanaged as usual...this seems to be a common trend on this tour. There were no wind it up necklaces despite them being there on Friday's show in NJ. I was so bummed out. But they did have the dolls (which a few stands sold out of by the end of the night), the watch, and the tour books. The tour book is soooooo good. It's all pictures from the first few dates of the tour, which is why the book didn't surface till recently. Much better than the HL tour book which just contained pictures from the past year.
Oh after the show I saw Gavin walking up the stage holding flowers. Some fans got pictures taken with him, I tried to make my way over to him but security were rushing people away.
What a great show!

OOOhh, i was at the San Diego show the second show on the tour.
i so have to get the Tour Book when i go back for the Irvine shows. as long as they actually have them

WOW,thanks so much for sharing your great concert stort-we're all really happy you had an amazing time!!!Sorry to hear Gwen scraped her elbow,though-it's been so awesome of her to connect with the audiences at every show.
