Gwen Is Set For A Residency in Las Vegas

The original source is PerezHilton, so maybe take it with a grain of salt?

It would explain though why she's been going to Vegas lately to see shows by Elton John, Backstreet Boys and Jennifer Lopez. I think some of us fans have been half-expecting this, anyway. All the best to Gwen!

EDIT: The 25-date residency was confirmed on April 10:https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...300626891.html

LAS VEGAS, April 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Multi-platinum recording artist and global icon Gwen Stefani is heading to the Las Vegas Strip with her exclusive headlining residency show, "Gwen Stefani – Just a Girl," inside Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino beginning Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

"To be able to do a show in Vegas is such an incredible honor. Growing up in Anaheim, California, I could never have imagined one day having my own Vegas residency. I have been so fortunate to tour throughout my career, but to create a show for Vegas is something I've never experienced and I can't wait," Gwen said.

Designed exclusively for Zappos Theater, Gwen Stefani will take the stage with a spectacular show like no other, celebrating the breadth of her illustrious musical career. The show, promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, will further cement Las Vegas as the entertainment capital of the world.

Gwen Stefani, Live Nation Las Vegas and Caesars Entertainment have also announced their partnership with Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, where $1 of every ticket purchased to "Gwen Stefani – Just A Girl" at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will be donated to the non-profit organization. Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is a Las Vegas-based nonprofit organization that provides medical treatment to children facing a number of life-threatening conditions. The donation will also allow Cure 4 The Kids Foundation to move into a state-of-the-art building, increasing the number of exam rooms and improving the patient treatment experience.

Tickets will go on sale to the public Friday, April 13 at 10 a.m. PT. American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, April 10 at 10 a.m. PT through Thursday, April 12 at 10 p.m. PT. An exclusive presale for Total Rewards members, Caesars Entertainment's loyalty program, will be available Thursday, April 12 from 10 a.m. PT through 10 p.m. PT. Gwen Stefani is expected to perform a series of shows at the newly re-named, 7,000-seat Zappos Theater, formerly Axis.....We’ve heard two confirmations about the Stefani residency from inside the Caesars Entertainment sphere, and PerezHilton.com also confirmed the scoop, so we’re saying it’s a done deal with an official announcement forthcoming soon.

This makes perfect sense imho. She has been doing greatest hits shows for the last few years anyways, so she might as well do it in Vegas.

If she won’t fill that venue each night it could end in embarrassment. I mean, she struggled to sell her own tour in 2016... Is Vegas going to do any better? Her fanbase isn’t as big as Gaga’s or Britney’s anymore.
Oh well, let’s see what happens. I hope she releases a Best Of album at least, to help with the promotion.
So tell me what's so great about perfect?

Tours are for fans, Vegas is for tourists It shouldn't be a peoblem to sell out the shows.

These companies aren't dumb, they do their research before making a huge investment like this. And especially after how well publicized the struggles on some dates were during the Truth tour...trust me, they've done their research. And clearly, if this is happening, it's cause they know she'll do fine.

My guess is, they know what a powerhouse she is in California, and Cali tourists makeup about a third of Vegas tourists. It would amazing/smart commercially for them to work in a few No Doubt shows here and there into the schedule, but i won't get my hopes up haha.

I think the guys might be interested in joining her, if that's the plan. After all what do they have to lose? They also have bills to pay like everybody else. I'm sure that would attract even more people.
So tell me what's so great about perfect?

It would be such an easy (and profitable) way for them to reconnect and keep the band 'alive' but i don't have my hopes up.

If this is true she’s gotta step up her game and make these performances more spectacular. The production, sets, dancers and costumes were pretty weak on the truth tour.

I don't think there is any chance of ND joining Gwen in Vegas. They don't need the guys in Vegas, Gwen can (and definitely will) perform ND songs without them.
